Thank you to the organizers to inviting me to speak at the event this morning! It was great to discuss and share on the Canada innovation Ecosystem, and honored that I was able to share the perspective of the healthcare and life science sector to this panel. Big thanks to my co-speakers Nilay Goyal and David K., as well as our moderator Arvind V. and Perry Niro for getting me involved!

As I conclude my four-year journey with Connect'Innov, I find myself reflecting on the incredible experiences and collaborations that have shaped this chapter of my career. Since 2021, I've had the privilege of working with 24 diverse and innovative startups, each bringing unique challenges and opportunities. From developing commercialization and export strategies to refining brand identities and value propositions, every project has been a rewarding journey of growth and discovery. A big thank you to Wafa B'chir, PhD, Hichem Radoine, Chema BOUKADI and Amel Jomâa for giving me this opportunity, and hoping the best for ConnectInnov going forward! Exciting News: Our Book is #1 on Amazon.Com! ... in the Biomedical Engineering category... but still #1! After months of anticipation and teasing, we're thrilled to announce that our book has finally hit the shelves! Philippe Tramoy and I couldn't be happier to see our labor of love come to fruition. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us with kind words and encouragement along the way! What's next, you ask? Well, we have some exciting plans lined up. Official launch events are in the works for Montréal and Paris, where we look forward to celebrating with you all. Additionally, the French version of the book continues to attract attention, and we're busy crafting related content—including a top-secret project we're eagerly awaiting the right moment to unveil! While there are numerous sections that I take pride in (the section on storytelling and the Eight Classic Mistakes sections being two that readily come to mind), the framework for evaluating Product-Market Fit truly stands out. Over the years, I've engaged in product-market fits with many entrepreneurs, and I've often found the Yes/No result of the evaluation process to be somewhat simplistic. Hence, when I stumbled upon the Fisher model, I knew I had discovered a remarkable starting point to enhance the evaluation process. Our book is almost ready!   Thank you all for your feedback on the cover page. Philippe Tramoy and I were amazed by the comments and encouragements. We were especially surprised how both sides of the pond had such different opinions on which cover was the best.    It’s this difference of perspectives (entrepreneur and investor, North American and European, internal and external) that we tried to capture in our book. While one of us wrote a few pages, the other was there to add their own perspective, and its this meshing of perspectives that we hope will bring a richness and insight to those reading it.   Oh, and we changed the cover a bit too. That was the goal of the survey after all 😊   As we get closer to our publication date, we hope to share a bit more about the book, but also about the many ancillary projects are emerging from this first effort: A French version, a podcast, and more… For example, Phillipe just did an interview with Fabien GUEZ in “Check up Santé” on BFM Business, and talked a bit about our book. Nous avons été particulièrement étonnés de constater que les deux côtés de « l'étang » avaient des opinions si différentes sur la meilleure couverture.   C'est cette différence de points de vue (entrepreneur et investisseur, nord-américain et européen, interne et externe) que nous avons essayé d’incorporer dans notre livre. Quand l'un de nous deux écrivait quelques pages, l'autre était là pour ajouter son propre point de vue, et c'est ce maillage de perspectives qui, nous l'espérons, apportera une richesse et perspicacité à ceux qui le liront.   Oh, et nous avons également modifié la couverture.
